I've been hearing a squealing noise from the front of my car for about two weeks now and I've finally accepted that I can't keep ignoring it because it's getting worse and I'm worried about the brakes failing at the wrong moment. It's a 2017 Infiniti Q50 and the noise is most noticeable when I first set off in the mornings, then it seems to quieten down after a few minutes, which a mate told me is the wear indicator telling me the pads are getting low. I've also noticed the pedal feels slightly softer than it used to and the car takes a bit more effort to stop than before. I've never had the brakes changed since I bought the car three years ago, so I suppose it's overdue, but I want to make sure I go somewhere that uses decent parts rather than cheap pads that squeal and produce loads of dust. What I'm looking for is somewhere that does a proper Infiniti brake pad change in Musaffah, ideally a place that knows these cars and will check the discs for wear while they're at it rather than just slapping new pads on and sending me on my way. I've heard that if the discs are worn or scored you should replace them at the same time, otherwise the new pads won't bed in properly and you'll get noise and poor braking.
